Descorchados 2016 has come to New York with the aim of establishing a market presence and publicizing featured Chilean and South American wines. This city is the cradle of one of the most important markets for the wine industry: the United States of America.
The visit will begin with a seminar by Patricio Tapia, the Chilean journalist who created the Descorchados guide. He will be accompanied by prominent New York sommelier Eduardo Porto Carreiro.
During the seminar, they will present eight wines from various countries, including Tara White 1 Chardonnay 2014 from Viña Ventisquero, which was awarded 95 points in the guide. Participants will have the opportunity to ask enologists questions about the wines. Felipe Tosso, Chief Enologist at Viña Ventisquero, will answer questions about Tara, a wine from the Atacama Desert.
After the seminar there will be a trade fair for the press and the industry featuring tastings of select wines from Viña Ventisquero, including Tara White 1, Tara Red 1 and Gray GCM.
