Ventisquero wines Vértice and Pangea awarded gold medals in the UKJune, 4 2015

The prestigious British magazine Decanter has awarded a gold medal and the Best Chilean Red Blend Regional Trophy to Ventisquero Vértice 2011. This wine from the Apalta Valley is a perfect mixture of Carménère and Syrah. 

However, this was not the only Ventisquero wine to be singled out at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2015 (DWWA). The newly launched Kalfu Sumpai Sauvignon Blanc 2014 from Huasco earned a silver medal, while Ventisquero Grey Pinot Noir 2013 and Ventisquero Grey Carménère 2012 were each awarded bronze medals.

At Decanter's Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon tasting, Ventisquero Enclave was judged “Highly Recommended”, the highest rating in this tasting and was named the second best Cabernet Sauvignon. Indeed, one of the magazine's tasters, Peter Richards MW, selected it as his favourite.

At another event in the UK, Ventisquero Pangea 2011 won an award at the “International Wine Challenge 2015” (IWC). The IWC also awarded bronze medals to Kalfu Kuda Chardonnay 2014, Root: 1 Sauvignon Blanc 2014 and Ventisquero Grey GCM 2014.
There was also good news from France, where Kalfu Sumpai Sauvignon Blanc 2014 and Ventisquero Pangea 2011 both earned gold medals at the Challenge International du Vin. At the same event, Root: 1 Carménère 2013 was awarded a silver medal and Root: 1 Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 a bronze.

Meanwhile, in the United States, the June 2015 edition of the magazine Wine & Spirits, awarded 92 points each to Kalfu Sumpai Syrah 2013, Kalfu Sumpai Sauvignon Blanc 2014 and Ventisquero Vértice 2011. It also gave 91 points to Kalfu Kuda Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Kalfu Sumpai Syrah 2013 and Ventisquero Grey Carménère 2012.
